[Update - 28 May 2011]
LOL, I realized that this artwork is lacking of epic-ness, as I see the art is quite dry looking. At the same time, both characters seems not so realistic.
So what I do here, I do some touch up on Namine's and Kairi's hair, make them look more real. And I adjusted the color tone, to achieve the almost right skin tone color.
To make the pic more epic, I intensify the vibrancy and more lighting. Moreover, Kairi is one of the Princesses of Heart, full of lights... which same goes to her Nobody too
Enjoy!
Yay! To those guess it right to my latest journal, Namine is the missing pieces, the KH-related female realism that is yet to feature in any of my artwork.
In addition to this, I have also added the familiar Kairi which did appear in my previous artwork, Promise [link]
Sounds like recycling old art, but since she was previously appear in dissolving form, I think fans out there would like to see her in complete version... so here I did.
And if you noticed, Kairi's background which the sky is actually similar to Promise artwork but instead of grass field, it's sea... represent Destiny Island itself.
But I did that on purpose. I coined the infamous quote from Kingdom Hearts "One Sky, One Destiny"... which explains the similarity for both artworks. They are sort of connected
Surprisingly though, this artwork is the fastest ever... noticeably because Namine's costume is simply easy to draw (plain white dress?). And maybe that was because I didn't draw her in the first place. Back then I was desire for something challenging.
But at times, you would just like feeling lazy and start to think, "Yeah, can I draw something easy yet presentable?"
This artwork may be not as epic as Promise... but I would just leave it that way. I want to keep this artwork Simple and Clean.
[Update: Thanks to *Epsilon86 for pointing out, I have adjusted the sea behind Kairi to look more brighter ]
Anyway, enjoy!
